Sharjah is set to construct two new football stadiums on mountain tops, as announced by Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, on Monday. The stadiums will be built at high altitudes for Kalba Club and Khor Fakkan Club, aiming to provide a ‘humidity-free atmosphere’ and enhance playing conditions for the athletes.

The stadium for Kalba Club will be situated 850 feet above sea level, while the stadium for Khor Fakkan Club will be at 900 feet above sea level. The elevated locations are expected to result in a temperature difference of approximately 10 degrees, creating a cooler environment for the players.

Additionally, the Sharjah Ruler commended the clubs of the emirate for their performance in the ADNOC Professional League for the 2023-2024 season.
